In 1900 the average person lived to be 47 years old. Today it is approximately 76. Once people hit 40 they enter the zone of the 7 deadly diseases which kills more than 80% of people. These are heart disease, cancer, strokes, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis and Alzheimer's disease. These 7 will be responsible for the death of more than 2 million North Americans this year. Heart disease is the number one killer, and while 3% of people died of cancer 100 years ago, today almost 30% die. Diabetes has increased over 600% in the last generation and to-day 40% of people over 85 suffer from Alzheimer's. Research on people who live to be over 100 has found that 84% function well, 73% rate their health as good to excellent. The majority walk and exercise, are rarely overweight and 52% take extra vitamins and minerals. In other words, those who live to be older really take care of themselves.
HEART DISEASE:
Somebody dies every 32 seconds from heart disease; 60 million have it which is one in three according to the Journal of American Medical Association. 1.5 million a year suffer from heart attacks from clogged arteries which is caused by an improper diet creating sludge, called plaque, to build up in the arteries clogging them until blood can no longer flow to deliver vital oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle. Of these one-third will die on their way to hospital. Today the cost of a coronary by-pass surgery is about $25,000. The good news, according to experts*, is that all cardio-heart disease can be eliminated by a) a vegetarian diet*, and b) by better nutrition, exercise and what we in M.A.P.S. call the L.L.P. program. *1960 American Medical Association CANCER With cancer a million North Americans will be diagnosed this year and 50% of those will die within 5 years. That is 1500 people a day or one every minute, of every day in North America, and one every 3 or 4 seconds somewhere else in the world. Billions have been spent on research, yet the incidence of cancer has increased 44% since 1950, breast cancer is up 60%, prostrate cancer is up 100%. In 1950 only 1 in 20 women had breast cancer; today it is 1 in 8. About 45,000 North American women will die from breast cancer this year. Every man over 50 has an enlarged prostrate and 30% of men 60 years and older have prostatic cancer. For the over 75's that is 1 in 2. Research has proven that only 20% of cancer is attributable to heredity and 80% is in our control.
STROKES:
Strokes are caused by the same problem that cause heart attacks where the arteries of the brain harden and plug up shutting of the flow of blood to vital parts in the brain causing, in essence, a brain attack. Half a million North Americans will suffer a stroke this year, 150,000 people will die. There are four million North American survivors of stroke with half of these having significant disabilities including paralysis, speech loss and impaired memory. DIABETES Over 16 million North Americans suffer from diabetes, and the incidence has risen over 600% in little more than one generation. One in twenty will eventually have diabetes, 40-60% of eighty-year olds have it and each year it kills 300,000. ARTHRITIS 80% of North Americans develops some degree of arthritis by the age of 60.
OSTEOPOROSIS:
Twenty-five million suffer from osteoporosis, or brittle bone disease. 80% of these are women over the age of 50. Menopause accelerates bone loss, so by the age of 75, 90% of women have osteoporosis. ALZHEIMER'S Experts predict the longer you live the more likely it is you will get Alzheimer's. 10% of people over 65 have it. 20% of people over 75 have it. 40% of people over 85 have it. That amounts to 4 million people. Alzheimer's kills over 100,000 people each year. 20-30% of those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia don't actually have the disease, but actually have instead a deficiency of a single specific vitamin which can be supplemented. Nutritionists and the medical profession recommend that people practice the S.A.F.E. formula. (S) Supplementing the diet with extra vitamins, minerals and fiber. (A) Avoiding alcohol, tobacco and excess weight (F) Feasting on 5 fresh fruit and vegetables (E) Exercising at least 3 times per week for 30 minutes a session They say that people who abuse alcohol live fifteen years shorter than those who don't drink at all. That the average smoker dies 18 years earlier than the average non-smoker. That eating a balance diet of fresh foods can add 10 years to your life, yet only 9% eat properly and that moderate exercise can add 5 years to our life, yet only 8% of adults exercise regularly. According to the National Cancer Institute only 9% of people actually eat required the daily servings of fruit and vegetables, and only 3% of 22,000 Americans surveyed actually ate a healthy balanced diet. So 91% of people in America are not eating correctly at all. Add to the fact that family farms have grown into corporate farms and they now produce chemical fertilizers, toxic pesticides, and destruct food storage and processing techniques. In 1948 a bowl of spinach contained 150 milligrams of iron. Today the same bowl of spinach contains 2 milligrams. You'd have to eat 75 bowls of spinach today to get the same mineral content that one bowl gave you 50 years ago.
According to Tuft's research on aging Dr Robert Russell, half of all Americans past 60 are deficient even by minimum standards in Vitamins E, C and A or beta carotene. So heart disease, cancer and the above diseases weaken our immune systems, and due to our poor nourishment habits obesity is on the rise with over 1 in 2 Americans being overweight and 280,000 dying of obesity related problems during 1998. So what can people do about this? They are not getting their nourishment from their normal lifestyle and diet, the option is to either eventually succumb to the 7 deadly diseases, have the body go into aging and break down or while we are transitioning into the eventual paradigm of living on light, we can look instead to taking a very powerful nutritional supplement that works on a very deep cellular level.
What I can see with offering cellular nutrition and a lifestyle package as a means of getting healthy is that by taking good quality proven products and feeling the difference in our health and vitality levels we can also eventually learn to be more aware of our food consumption simply and why we eat like we do. By getting our nutrients from either a) prana or b) this cellular nutritional product (which prepares us to be pranically fit anyway), it allows those people who are interested in living on light to actually cut back their food, examine their attachment to it and examine their ideas of nutrition etc. until they are eating very little, and are living just on vitamins and supplements each day. Once they have dealt with their emotional addiction to food, by cutting back gradually and are convinced that their cellular nutrition is fine, their weight will also have stabilized via re-programming and then eventually they can let go of this cellular nutrition and just live off light. So this cellular nutrition package is a wonderful bridge for the people interested in living on light and also gives great freedom.
